Ashbury’s newest student accommodation is a boutique-style residence for up to eight students located on Maple Lane, directly across from Maclaren Hall and the campus sport fields. Students who live in Maple Residence have a unique proximity to all campus amenities, while enjoying intimate surroundings. A large open common room looks onto campus, while a generous outdoor deck complements the mix of single and double rooms with semi-private bathroom facilities. Available to students seeking a slightly different residential experience in the community, a residential teaching team provides on-site supervision and support. Students have full access to all campus facilities seven days a week, as well as welcoming atmosphere for reciprocal visits in the larger, all girls Heather Gillin Residence. Current and prospective students will be considered for admission to Maple Residence, a single-gender residence for girls.
The Heather Gillin Residence, located at the northwest corner of the campus, provides a warm and comfortable living space for 50 young women, Grades 9 to 12, and five female residential staff, including our Director of Residential and Homestay Life, Ms. Danielle Mitra. A full kitchen provides the opportunity to share time together and allows our students to experience the international flavours that roommates might wish to prepare for friends from around the world. This two-story residence was completed in 2007 and contains 18 single rooms and 16 double rooms, each containing private ensuite bathrooms. All girls have access to common areas with flat screen televisions, exercise equipment, games and study rooms and ample storage space. This state-of-the-art facility has full wireless internet connections and, in conjunction with the boys' residence, is home to students representing over 30 countries.
Matthews House is situated on the northeast corner of the campus. It is home to 50 male boarding students in Grades 9–12/ This residence has two floors with a variety of single and double occupancy rooms. Some rooms look out over the front grounds of the campus and others have a courtyard view. The boys have full access to a common space that boasts a flat screen television, foosball and pool tables, a games room, study room and weight training area in addition to a spacious and bright kitchen.
