Bruce Mutch

Bruce’s experience in Admissions began as a boarding student at Wilbraham and Monson Academy, where he was a volunteer tour guide. The opportunity to meet prospective families and students was something he enjoyed so much, it lead to career in Admissions offices throughout North America. Over the past 15 years, Bruce has spent time in New England, Mid-Western US, Southern Ontario, Western Canada and Ottawa. Away from the office, Bruce enjoys spending time with friends and family and vacationing in his home province of Prince Edward Island. A graduate of Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL. Bruce describes his independent school experience as “life changing” and looks forward to assisting you with the admissions process at Ashbury College.

Stephanie Young

Stephanie brings a decade of experience in the independent school and post-secondary education sector, largely concentrated in the advancement and constituent relations category. Her advancement experience includes Crescent School (Toronto) and the Ivey Business School at Western University (London, ON).  Most recently, Stephanie was the Associate Director of Advancement at Brentwood College School on Vancouver Island, where she managed Brentwood’s local, national, and international community of volunteers, donors, and alumni. As a graduate of York House School (Vancouver), Stephanie has a deep appreciation of independent school education, and its role in discovering one’s best self. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen’s University. Outside of work, Stephanie and her husband, Andy (Assistant Head, Junior School) keep busy with their toddler son, Bailey, enjoying all of what Ottawa has to offer.

Louise Di Prisco

Louise has extensive experience with admissions (boarding and day) and enrollment management in independent schools, having filled the role of Director of Admissions at Lakefield College School for six years. Most recently, Louise served as the Interim Director of the Collaborative Boarding Project at CAIS where she provided strategic support to 26 boarding schools through coordinated marketing and recruitment efforts. Through these roles, Louise has developed her experience promoting and marketing the boarding experience to prospective families, while maintaining the high quality of student applicants. Louise also brings 25 years of teaching and learning perspective to the admission process. Her teaching experience includes English, French, ESL, and Arts Dramatiques (French Immersion). Louise holds a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto, MA in Curriculum Studies from OISE (University of Toronto), the CAIS Leadership Institute Diploma and has recently completed certification from the ISM International Advancement Program.

Barbara Saville

Barbara Saville joined Ashbury in 2006, from a long-standing role in the marketing and communications industry. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Barb brings creative flair to her role in admissions, helping manage the office and day applications. Her extensive experience in Admissions at Ashbury is what our new families have come to value when applying. When not busy with the College, Barb can be found creating works of art, or out on Ottawa’s beautiful trails for a run, bike or ski. Barb and her husband Dave, have two great kids, ages 19 and 15.

Laura Clarke

Laura Clarke has just recently joined the Admissions Team at Ashbury College and will be assuming a new role as Admissions Coordinator. She will take on a wide variety of responsibilities in this role, which will include acting as the initial point of contact for admissions inquiries and assisting with the processing of both day and boarding applications. Laura has extensive personal experience with independent schools as she was a boarding student herself at Trinity College School in Port Hope, ON. She also worked there as an Associate Faculty member in 2008-2009. Laura attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, USA and the University of Texas at El Paso on a track and field athletic scholarship. She graduated with a combined degree in anthropology and African studies. Laura also holds a diploma as a paralegal from Algonquin College. In her free time, Laura is the head coach of the cross-country program at Algonquin College and loves to run and play competitive hockey.
