Ashbury College Guild
The Ashbury College Guild, founded in 1950, is a parent volunteer organization that is both a fund raising and a friend-raising body. We work in alignment with Ashbury College’s vision and mission to engage the Ashbury parent community by encouraging volunteer participation in Guild sponsored activities and events. The events, organized by the Guild, bring together the Ashbury community and support Ashbury students by raising funds for a variety of curriculum enhancing programs, scholarships and endowment.
All parents and legal guardians of current Ashbury students are eligible to stand for election to the Guild. Members may hold office for a period of three years and past members may reapply after a one-year absence. The Guild is comprised of 15 - 20 voting members and 4 non-voting members.
A nomination committee fills vacant positions in the Spring of each year. Please feel free to contact any of the Guild members if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance to you.
If you wish to get involved please contact Taryn Manias at (613) 749-9630 x 270.

It was once again time to surprise the fabulous staff of Ashbury College! Both the Parents' Committee and the Guild members got very busy baking treats that filled both the Senior and Junior School Staff Rooms. These delectable treats are meant to be a representation of the entire Parent community. The teachers and staff truly appreciated the delicious indulgences!

Thank you to all the parents who came out to our first ever January sale! You are proving that having the Used Uniform shop accessible all year long is both environmentally and economically positive. To access the shop throughout the year, simply send an email to useduniform@ashbury.ca and we will arrange a time that is convenient for you to come to the basement to shop. Purchases can be made by cash, cheque or student account and 100% of the proceeds go back to the school. 2012 Used Uniform Sale
The Used Uniform sale was held on Thursday, September 13 from 3:30 to 6:00 in the lower level of Ashbury. The sale was well attended and parents were pleased at the quality and prices of the clothing. Guild member Sharon Ebata along with her amazing team of volunteers worked diligently to make the sale a success. Thanks to everyone who donated their gently used clothing and especially Hillary's Cleaners who very generously dry-cleaned all the blazers at no cost. Thank you Hillary's Cleaners for your continuous support for over eight years!
Please feel free to drop off used uniforms to our Used Uniform Bin at the front of the school between the double doors, at anytime during the year.
2012 Welcome BBQ - What a success!
Starting at 5:30pm on Thursday September 13, 2012, the school was a buzz with Ashbury families and staff mingling both inside and outside Maclaren Hall. With balloons on tables indicating grade levels, delicious BBQ fair and drinks for young and old, the night was truly a fun and relaxing time. The Ashbury community came together to catch up and welcome new families. Thank you to Majida Saikaley and her volunteers from the Guild and Janice Friedlich and her volunteer from the Parents' Committee for organizing such a wonderful event!
Saturday October 20, 2012 - The Ashbury Ball
The 12th annual Ashbury Ball was a resounding success! It was a superb event with great food, entertainment and wonderful auction items. The students were amazing as musicians, mimes and painters. Thank you to everyone who attended and generously supported the school. The Ball was able to raise approximately $200,000 towards funding Ashbury scholarships, bursaries and the new Creative Learning Centre campaign. With this donation, the Ashbury Guild has been able to fulfill an ongoing pledge of $1 million towards the new Spark Campaign. Special thanks to Co-chairs Michele Boyd & Albert Lightstone, the Guild, the Parent Committee, the Board of Governors, Junior & Senior School teachers, the Advancement Team, the Administration and the many student performers and volunteers.
