Environmental Sustainability
During the strategic planning process, environmental sustainability was identified as a fundamental principle guiding the school. Headmaster, Tam Matthews formed a multi-stakeholder “Green School” Committee, chaired by Tim Putt, Head of Senior School, and charged it with the task of developing a vision for the responsible environmental, economic, and social future of Ashbury College.
This Ashbury Environmental Sustainability Plan with its specific goals and recommendations is intended to stimulate the imagination and guide decision-making, resource use, and future action in all parts of the school. We expect this document to evolve over time and for the recommendations to be pursued through a variety of activities such as the campus master site plan and efforts of the school community.
